The Department for Education (DfE) requires schools and trusts applying for CIFÂ to clearly evidence their procurement route, showing how any professional advisors have been selected. This new requirement ensures projects demonstrate transparency, value for money, and compliance with public sector procurement regulations.
Using an approved framework or Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) is the easiest and most compliant way to meet this requirement. Frameworks have been pre-vetted by the DfE and other public bodies, giving you confidence that consultants meet high standards.

The fund prioritises projects that address urgent compliance and health and safety issues, such as structural safety, fire protection systems, gas and electrical safety, emergency asbestos removal, and the replacement of outdated coal and oil-fired boilers.
