Internal reconfiguration of operational HMRC offices in Worthing to accommodate additional teams.
We have been appointed as architects for the internal reconfiguration of the three-year-old HMRC Teville Gate House, supporting the relocation of additional teams into the building. The project focuses on adapting the existing workspace to create a more efficient and flexible working environment.
The scheme includes the introduction of additional desk space, flexible meeting rooms, workshop and storage areas, and new locker facilities. Works comprise internal construction, redecoration, and a full fit-out, alongside modifications to existing power, data, lighting, and HVAC systems to suit the revised layout. Acoustician-specified panels have also been integrated to enhance acoustic performance across a variety of working environments.
The design has been developed in full accordance with HMRC workspace standards and is being delivered to BIM Level 2. The project is also targeting a BREEAM Excellent rating, reflecting a strong focus on sustainability and building performance.
As the building remains a live operational government facility, careful planning and coordination are essential. YMD Boon is working closely with the contractor to ensure the works are phased and managed to minimise disruption to staff and ongoing services, maintaining a safe and efficient environment throughout the construction period.
